Western Institute of Technology at Taranaki (WITT)

Established in 1972, the Western Institute of Technology in Taranaki is known as the biggest tertiary education institution in Taranaki, New Zealand.Over the years, the institute has quickly emerged. It conducts several studies and encourages other research institutions. The institute’s research group coordinates and controls the research carried out from the institute. It is the responsibility of the Institute’s governing council to maintain and administer the Institute and its academic curriculum. Two campuses make up the institute. The Taranaki campus is the institute’s primary campus. Undergraduate programs, diploma programs and certificate programs are offered by the institute. It has over 6,000 students.

There are a range of topics in the university’s educational course, such as administration, art & design, business management, engineering, IT, nursing, English language, hospitality and energy, oil & gas. Experienced members of the faculty instruct the students. The institute is visited by several business professionals for engaging sessions, guest lectures, and practical workshops. This offers a deeper understanding of the course for students. Students also have the ability to serve as interns in prominent businesses with professionals. It allows them to learn knowledge about fieldwork. A host of alumni have received excellent placement possibilities through the Institute. Most of them have become well-known famous people, while others work for noteworthy organisations. A few alumni have also contributed to the fields of science.
