About University
The University of Canterbury is the public university situated in Christchurch, Canterbury in the year of 1873. The University spread in 190 acres including three libraries with the Central Library in the campus. UC also provides lectures theaters, laboratories and Computer suites on the Campus. It is situated approximately 5 km from central Christchurch city. University enrolled around 17000 students amongst this over 1500 international students for graduate and postgraduate programs, diplomas and doctoral degrees.
University provides 10 residence halls on the campus to accommodate around 2000 students. It also provides Bars, Eateries and Café on the campus. University offers various programs like Arts, Commerce, Technology, fine Arts, Sports and Music, Law and health sciences by five colleges of the campus. Many of these programs focused in teaching, physical education, forestry and language pathology. University has over 140 academic, sporting, recreational and cultural societies and clubs. University also offers Scholarship.
