North Tec

NorthTec Institute, founded in 1978, is an open provider of tertiary education that was previously known as the Northland Community College.It was renamed to its current name in 2006 .It became a polytechnic institution in 1988. The organization is primarily focused on technical studies and is recognized to have contributed to a range of research programs. It has the Auckland and Whangarel campuses. All the facilities needed by the student are provided by the campus. The university provides undergraduate programmes, postgraduate programmes, diploma level programmes, short-term courses and certificate courses. The institute’s education discipline covers a wide range of topics, including environmental sciences, engineering, business studies, computer science, architecture, humanities, agriculture, nursing, building, horticulture, forestry, health and safety, and tourism and travel. This broad list of topics offers students a better opportunity to choose from among eligible faculty members according to their area of interest.

The institute is visited by many industry professionals for guest lectures, group discussions and practical workshops. Students also have the ability to serve as interns with experts at prominent businesses. This provides a better explanation of the field studies for them. The institute currently has 7,835 students in total. The institute is in collaboration  with different foreign educational institutions, namely Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design, University of Hawaii Community Colleges, Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics, Son Yat-Seu University, Guang Zhou Vocational School of Tourism and Business and Zhejiang University of Finance and Economics. A lot of Institute alumni have connected to many sectors with their research work and many of them work in leading companies.
